Minimbah Bank
We are happy to announce that this stage of the project which involved the construction of a third track and associated infrastructure between Minimbah and Whittingham has now been completed.
The third track has been built along the eastern side of the main northern railway line between the New England Highway and the existing track.
It starts from Minimbah, west of Belford and continues north for approximately 10.8 kilometres to Whittingham.
This stage of the project also included the construction of two new overbridges at the Golden Highway and the Range Road level crossings. A 550m retaining wall and a reinforced drainage channel have also been built between the road and rail corridors immediately adjacent to the New England Highway.
